Choose a camera that can draw diagonal lines on the screen.
In our PC screen live camera and high resolution camera have diagonal display function.
Example of measuring the outer diameter of a gasket
1. Use light transmission to emphasize the edges.
2. Display diagonal lines on the screen.
3. Align the diagonal with the edge of the measuring point.
4. Reset the digital micrometer to zero.
5. Using the micrometer, move it to the leading face of the fringe.
6.At this time, the micrometer value becomes the outer diameter.
Advantages of this system
（1）No need for calibration before measurement.
(2) Even objects not shown on the screen can be measured.
(3) Since it depends on the accuracy of the micrometer, it is capable of indicating accuracy including a certificate of calibration.
Disadvantages of this system
（1）Time consuming for measurement
(2) Can only measure horizontally and vertically.
(It is also possible to measure obliquely if using a rotary table.)
(3) Only the distance between two points can be measured.
(Cannot measure angle, area, distance between center of circle, etc.)
