HOW TO RECORD WITH AN EXTERNAL SIGNAL (TRIGGER SIGNAL)

Our USB camera CS series and GigE EG camera series are equipped with external signal input so that images can be saved from external signals.
(Optional trigger cable is required for signal input.)

However, the standard software does not have the function to save from an external signal, so you will need to use optional software or create a program using the included SDK.

There are two main types of optional software that save still images by inputting an external signal.

The main difference is between types that always display a live image while waiting for an external signal and types that do not display a live image while waiting for an external signal but instead display a stored static image with the most recent signal.

The advantage of continuous live display is that images can be viewed at all times. On the contrary, saved images cannot be checked unless you access the save folder.

The advantage of displaying a still image saved using the most recent signal is that you can always check whether the image has been saved correctly.

On the contrary, if you want to watch live video, you need to cancel the state of waiting for external signals.

If you want to program it, please use the SDK located in the camera’s driver installation folder.

If you want to save images using an external trigger on a camera without an external signal input, you can also use a ready-made input box, etc. to call up an external software shortcut and save the image image.
